The Sligo BID Ltd submits the following proposal in accordance with section 129C of the Local Government (Business Improvement Districts) Act 2006 to the Sligo County Council – the relevant Rating Authority – to establish a Business Improvement District (BID scheme) in the city of Sligo.
The Sligo Business Improvement District (BID) is an initiative designed to increase the footfall to Sligo city centre, to attract more businesses and to secure a long term sustainable model for the management of the town. BID represents businesses in the BID area. Membership of the Sligo BID is designed to benefit all the business people in Sligo and every member has a say in its democratic governance. Making Sligo BID a success requires funding and a contribution from every member of the business community.
