Sligo Jazz Project (SJP) was formed in 2005 by a group of Sligo musicians with a view to filling the void in music education in the Sligo area, particularly in the genres of jazz and improvised music. The principal method of achieving this was to host world class educational and performance events by bringing leading international jazz educators and performers here.
