The second annual Rough Draft Design and New Media Conference will take place in the Clarion Hotel, Sligo on October 18th 2014 and will feature local and national speakers.

 

The conference will feature speakers from across design and new media disciplines, both from the North-West and national regions, speaking about successes and failures in their past work.

 

The conference aims to bring key speakers from art, design and new media from across Ireland into a positive platform for sharing ideas in the north-west of Ireland. The 2014 conference will be run as part of the events schedule for the 25th anniversary celebrations for the design course at IT Sligo.

 

Speakers include Damien O’Connor (Brown Bag Films), Steve Simpson (Illustrator), Rachel O’Dwyer (Dublin Art and Technology Association), Ciara Scanlan (New media artist, MART) alongside local practitioners including Gary Reddin (Illustrator) and Ashleigh Smith (Product Designer – Atlantic Equipment).
