“Host” is a series of paintings and drawings that develop the notion of another world, parallel to ours and one that our imagination can inhabit. The artwork is about the divine or visions of the divine. It explores dimensions, both in terms of the supernatural and those many-layered dimensions within painting and drawing.

 

The work plays host to our imagination and is inspired by the WB Yeats poem “The Hosting Of The Sidhe" (1893)
