Comhaltas honour a number of people every year at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann people who have made a significant contribution to the promotion of a variety of aspects of traditional Irish culture. This year’s awardees include Michael Hurley, Tom Quinn, Matt Cunningham, Joe and Mary McGuiggan, Bruce Scott, Robert Gleeson and Brendan Gaughran.
A concert will follow the awards presentation which will feature the ceannródaithe and their friends.
