Michael Cooney’s riotous farce has all the ingredients for a night of fun and hilarity. Eric Swan has been defrauding the Department of Social Welfare by claiming assistance for fake residents residing in the home he shares with his unsuspecting wife Linda. When Social Welfare Inspector Mr. Jenkins arrives, Eric enlists the help of his lodger Norman Bassett in an elaborate cover up. Also joining the fun (and confusion) is bereavement councillor Sally Richards, marriage guidance councillor Dr. Chapman and Mr Sweeney the undertaker, while the arrival of Norman’s fiancée Brenda Dixon and the formidable Miss Cooper further complicates matters.
